Hi everyone, I am new to ms dynamics. Started working with dynamics 365.
Just came across a problem with the height of my web resource.
I have added a web resource HTML having a button (Validate Address) in an entity form e.g. account.
After adding web resource ( height 24px) , it is embedded in an iframe automatically with height 35px.
I do not want extra white space that iframe height is creating.
I tried reducing iframe height using js script to match the HTML content
parent.document.getElementById(#ID_webresource").style.height=24pxBut still the height of iframe remains the same (35px)Strange thing is it allows me to set height more than 35px but not less.Is there some min-height limitation for web resources. Any Help will be much appreciated.
Note: In the snapshot total height of 49 includes padding (7 + 7) and 35 height
Accessing DOM directly is unsupported in CRM. Unsupported means - It’s not recommended, may break silently in future updates. Also if you raise a support ticket, MS will not assist you.
Regarding the height, product mat have some placeholders & stylesheets to entertain responsive design.
You can try setting the top padding for the button in the HTML web resource so that it appears in the center. As mentioned above, there is no supported way to change the style of CRM elements and you should not use dom manipulations as this can/will break in future updates.
Hope this helps.
All manipulation I am doing now is with my HTML Webresource as you said let CRM elements untouched. Thanks !!!
Good stuff Rahul :)
