I have a client that has a requirement to add 'jobs' on D365. We are going to use the opportunity entity for this.
My understanding in terms of licencing i would require
1 x Customer Engagement Plan as a base licence.
Then every member of staff that wanted to add/create a opportunity would need a
The question comes in as long as the opportunity has been created we can licence the rest of the staff with team member licences.
Ideally the team member licence would allow them to push the opportunity through the business process flow, add products to the opportunity product (materials and time).
They could also raise a quote from the opportunity.
Am I correct in this?
Unfortunately you can't use team members licenses for that. You can only create, view, update, and delete contacts, activities, tasks, and notes access to contacts,
activities, tasks and notes
Please read the licensing guide, page 13.
Nope any direct access to create / update Sales records (opportunities, quotes, sales orders and invoices) requires a full Dynamics 365 for Sales licence.
That licence can be either Professional or Enterprise depending on whether you can work around the limitations within the Professional Licence.
