I am setting up dynamics for a company that possibly wants to use dynamics. I want to see before I look for other solutions to consult with the community. What they are looking for is a simple lead tracking and sales/CRM application. There is one thing they want to do is take the contact signing and filling in documents electronic. So when a sale is made they can enter and sign information digitally. They want to do this process on an ipad so when a person completes a sale they can sign all. That way its cleaner for both customer and business.
Can this be done with Dynamics, if so what would I be looking at? Where to begin?
1.If you want to let the system do something automatically after finishing a sales (creating new records, assign records, send emails...), you could set a workflow to do this.
2.If you want to operate on tablet side, I've found a solution that allows pushing message to phone/tablet when triggering the condition we've configured in workflows.
You could refer to the points above and have a try.
If my understanding is not correct, please share more detailed requirement so that we could help you better.
Hope it helps.
Sorta. The first one seems to be correct. The second answer no so much. The company I am setting up for is a pool and spa company which are large and expensive consumer products. Such of which require lots of documents to be signed before the product is delivered and or installed with the customer.
Lot of the paper work is done face to face but sometimes we exchange in email. But for face to face transaction I want to do document signing right on the tablet. If the person wants to wait to sign then do the email blast/automation workflow like you showed.
The out of the box lead entity can handle your lead management. DocuSign for Dynamics 365 CRM can be used to get signatures and sign documents prior to product delivery and installation. You can then access Microsoft Dynamics 365 from a web browser, tablet, or phone to use this functionality on the go.
Hello R -
Over the years, this has always been a third-party integration. As Adrian mentioned, DocuSign is a good choice, as they were one of the first to offer this. But there are now other options - Adobe EchoSign is one, and there is a Norwegian company named Signicat, and there is a clever solution mentioned by RocketCRM about a year ago, although it depends on what level of verification you need, since I don't think that solution offers any, whereas Docu and Echo most certainly do. Finally, a different product known as Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations actually supports this natively.
