Hi fellow Dynamics pros,
does somebody know if it is possible to move a Email in Outlook to a specific folder after it's been tracked by Dynamics 365.
We are using the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook to track our Emails to D365.
I first thought about using Outlook rulkes but those only trigger when an Email arrives and not if I change a category or something afterwards.
As far as I know, this is impossible.
We can use folder-based tracking to automatically track emails in a folder, but we can't automatically move them to a folder after it's been tracked by Dynamics 365.
What a bummer!
Is there any 3rd party software/scripts who can acomplish that?
Unfortunately, there are currently no any related 3rd party software/scripts.
You could try if the folder-based tracking can meet your needs:
configure outlook exchange folder level tracking
automatically track all incoming and outgoing email messages in dynamics 365 without opening outlook and across any device pure exchange and dynamics 365 server side synchronisation
But I think this idea is good, so I recommend you share it with Ideas: https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas
This may make Microsoft notice this and add this feature to D365.
I've submitted the idea as you recommended it to me.
Thanks again for the advice!
