Hello, I am wondering what the best practice is for separating types of revenue on the opportunity record, while using products. For example, if you're a saas business, how do you seperate out recurring revenue from one-time revenue?
Do you integrate Sales with other apps?
There is no OOB feature about types of revenue in the Sales App.
No currently we do not integrate with other apps. It doesn't necessarily need to be out of the box, happy to do some customization - but curious if there is a best practice stated anywhere or how others handle this.
We have a similar issue - we put a field on the Opportunity line to represent this - we called it "Revenue Type" and included a variety of different options which would each map to annual vs one-off. You could simplify by just having annual and one-off - this didn't quite suit our use case.
We then had two roll ups on the opportunity to create a summary across all line items
