I am attempting to display the product name and 2 custom date fields on the quote line display, however no matter how i change the view, it will only show the date fields and the view is distorted. It also seems unusual that I can not edit or delete views from the solution customisation.
First of all, please hide your browser's address bar and don't show your D365 URL.
See the following three points:
1. For the view, you need to save and click the Publish All Customizations button to make it effective in D365.
2. You need to check if the view is selected correctly in the view editor.
Click the Form Editor button in the command bar of the Quote form. Double-click on the PRODUCT subgrid. Check if the default view is selected correctly, is it the one you modified and published.
3. The default Quote line view is not customizable, so we can only save it as a new view.
As shown, this is the default view, called "Quote Product Inline Edit View", which has no Save button and can only be saved as.
So if you change the columns based on it, you need to remember its view name when it is saved as.
Hi, I've actually already tried all these steps for the view and it's still not working.
You cant change or delete these views unfortunately, they are fixed.
I'm aware the system views are fixed, however i should in theory be able to delete custom, views that i have added for testing purposes?
Have you tried cleaning your browser cache or changing another browser?
Also, I noticed that Quote in your screenshot is in the read only state. Could you create a new Quote to see if you still have this problem?
