is it possible to check a textfield if its not empty, with the click on the "create Orders" in Quotes?
The problem is that the dialog form isnt customizable or is it? So i want to check the textfield with the button before the dialogform pops up. Can i put a script before the dialog action and when its possible how can it be done?
Since you can't customize the OOB JS button, you could instead write a pre-operation plugin that will check if the textbox has value or not. If not, it will prevent from Creating Order since the purpose of the button is to create an Order.
Hope this helps!
This is a standard button and a managed component, even though you can apply some tweakings using ribbon workbench it is not advised to do so as this may cause issues in future updates. As Priyesh mentioned You can use a plugin or real-time workflow.
Or you can hide the current button using ribbon workbench and create a new button with required functionalities, I had done this for some customers but the efforts to do this is actually an overkill.
