Hello All,Hope you are fine. After creating a quote, i can only create an invoice. the create order button is missing and instead there is a create invoice button. this is in UI. On the other hand, in the web client, create order button is available. Please help me understand why this is happening and how to create an order in UIThank you,Wissam
Can you share a screenshot please?
Usually if you have clicked on 'Activate Quote' on quotes, you see 'Create Order' while 'Create Invoice' is on order form.
Have you made any customisations?
Thank you for your input. Please see attached screen shot.
regarding customization, No I have not really done any. Yes, you are right, once you create the invoice, the quote now goes to both, the order section and invoice section.
Can you please check again from ribbon workbench that, is there any customizations done for the same or “Create Order” button is renamed to “Create Invoice”?
Hope this helps.
thank you for your input.
I have not worked with ribbon workbench before. From the research i did after your message, i will have download and install it before i can do any customization. Is this is the only way?
it's definitely customised by someone if not you.
As Inogic said that you can use ribbon workbench and rename it.
Before you make any changes to the ribbon; try clicking on 'Create Invoice' and see if it's taking you to an order form or invoice form?
And if it's creating an invoice, your form has been customised.
Match your version with my instance as I think it's the same: (Click on the wheel on top right and then click 'About')
Server version: 9.1.0000.8020 Client version: 1.3.2174-190813-223307
if you still think it wasn't customised; you need to go to portal.office.com and create a service request describing your issue and attach a screenshot.
This is by design.
In the sales professional, the quote form does have the Create Invoice button instead of the Create Order button.
In the site map, select Quotes.
Select the active quote that you want to create an invoice from.
On the command bar, select Create Invoice.
If you want to create an order from quote, then you need to enter Sales Enterprise instead of Sales Professional.
Thank you for the clarification on this matter and thank you for sharing the documentation behind it. Much Appreciated.

Just an update on this one, 'Create order' has nothing to do with your Sales pro and sales enterprise license. You can create orders even if you have Sales Professional license. it's just that to simplify things, 'Create order' button has been removed from quote form. But you as a sales pro license have full access to orders. You will have to customise your ribbon on quotes to add a button or create orders directly from navigation.
