We have one entity called Subscription.
Whenever I open that form near form name i able to see read only.
How to remove that read only behaviour of form.
Whenever status is Draft then we should able to edit the form ,otherwise not.
You could firstly ask your admin to check whether you are granted the edit privilege to the Subscription entity,
You could find current security roles applied for yourself in Settings > Security > Users > MANAGE ROLES button,
then check the security roles available privileges in Settings > Security > Security Roles, find the custom entity in Custom Entities tab,
in screenshot below, salesperson could only read Project entity, so he can only view read-only form and has no privilege to edit.
After you have been granted the editing privilege, then you could use default Status Active or Inactive to block all form fields,
or block specific fields with Business Rule:
I have logged in as admin with sys-admin and sys-customizer role.
I still checked about privileges for above role and also for salesperson role.,all are having crate, read, write privilege.
And Status field is Active for the Subscription entity?
Could you share me a screenshot of your entity record form?
Status by default is Draft.
Should i send that entity record screenshot?
please share me a screenshot, thanks.
My default status options are Active and Inactive, while 0 equals Active. I don’t find the Draft option. I created the custom entity in Sales module with version 9.1.8003.
Have you checked Read-only in mobile option for your entity ?
In other environment Enable For Mobile is Checked in,Where the form is editable.
So you have
1. checked Enable for mobile option (enable form be editable in UCI)
2. and also unchecked Read-only in mobile option (also enable form be editable in UCI)
but the form still be fully Read-only?
3. Could you find any button on Ribbon that may help you Active/Publish the entity record ?
Finally, a screenshot could be helpful, thanks.
Please find details below.
I thought we had found answer:
Your Read-only in mobile option is set to enabled/checked, thus the entity form in UCI couldn’t be edited due to it.
If we could uncheck the option, then form shall be editable.
However, it seems that the option is blocked to be changed so we couldn’t uncheck it.
Did you make any customization which may lead the option being blocked ?
And I’ll try to find the reason or factor that may cause this issue and give you a reply as soon as possible.
You could try to create a new Subscription entity, while in creating pop-up window,
uncheck the option and save,
then test whether issue still exsits after new entity is created.
I have found some people in forum also met this situation: the Read-only in mobile option is grayed out and can't be changed,
actually custom entities shall not be restricted compared with some system existing entities, (and you confirmed you are system administrator security role with all privileges)
if the option always be disable/grayed out when your're creating custom entity or after custom entity has been created, you'd request a ticket for support.
