Hello CRM Experts,
I have created a FetchXML report in CRM 365.
When the report is run in the context of current Opportunity record, the report viewer shows a huge space between labels and data fields. I used VS Studio2015 with BIDS to create the report.
Here how it looks in the Report Designer:
Here how it looks in the Report Viewer: (data here is a test data only)
Even worse, when this is exported to Excel, some label and data fields have larger heights: (data here is a test data only)
Is it a known issue in Report Viewer? Please suggest a workaround to get rid of the space in the Report Viewer and to fix the alignment issue in the exported Excel file.
Thank you very much!
Do you design your report in SQL Server Data Tools 2015 like below ?
Yes, partner. I used VS2015 Report Designer. Is there something in it that would cause the space to appear? How then do I fix it?
I built my SSRS report with tutorial below
and didn't encounter the issue you met, also I didn't install BIDS(Do you mean "Business Intelligence Development Studio"? It seems that this tool will be automatically installed with SQL Server?)
I just dragged Textbox element to designer:
Its layout is as what it is looked like in Designer in Report Viewer and exported Excel:
After I have modified Top and Left tag for row 1 column 2 textbox in rdl file, the layout changed.
You could try to modify Top tag value of elements that has wide space toward their upper elements (Lifetimesales and 60000 euros)
to test whether the space could be reduced.
