I would like to know how do i list all the duplicates leads seperately. I'm learning dynamics 365 as I'm very fresher to my job. If anybody could guide me step by step, I'll have a great chance to learn.
Hi Sumaira Noor,
This article contains all the information you need to manage duplicate lead records.
We need to enable duplicate detection and set up the duplicate detection rules for the lead entity, finally perform the duplicate detection job.
Please read the following blogs in order.
When you follow the process in the third blog and go to this step, you can see all the duplicate leads.
Thanks for the response Adrian and Lu.
But my requirement is to list the duplicate records in a seperate view. If anybody could guide it would be of great help.
Unfortunately, there is no way to do it.
This is a similar theme: community.dynamics.com/.../list-of-duplicate-contacts
Also, please try the Duplicates Report Generator for Bulk Merge Plugin of the XRM Toolbox: community.dynamics.com/.../generate-excel-report-for-duplicate-records-in-dynamics-crm-for-bulk-merge
Thanks for the quick response Lu.
Is there any other way where i can store the duplicates seperately in CRM?
In my opinion, these duplicate records are already redundant records from a certain point of view, so there is no OOB way to store them separately or in a standard display.
You could create a two option field for the lead entity to distinguish whether it is a duplicate, then write a plugin to traverse all the leads, and if it is a duplicate, set the new field to Yes.
Finally, using this two option field, we can create a new view to list all the duplicate leads.
Thanks again for the response Lu.
If you could guide me to that two option field part it would be very helpful.
Writing a plugin by myself is quite difficult as I'm a fresher and learning it along with the on job project.
