We're facing a special kind of setup and I'm not sure whether this is a supported setup or not.
It's all about the certificates, we will be using 2 different certificates.
Trying to setup IFD in Dynamics 365 On Prem
We have one wildcard but not multilevel certificate for *.contoso.com.
This means it's valid for crm.contoso.com but not for org.crm.contoso.com.
So the customer is purchasing another wildcard singlelevel certificate for *.crm.contoso.com.
The internal url is https://crm2016.contoso.com/org
The external url should be https://org.crm.contoso.com
In IIS we enabled https on the crm website with the *.contoso.com certificate
When activating claims, we did also specify the *.contoso.com certificate.
Will it be possible to use the second certificate *.crm.contoso.com for the external IFD access?
Is it supported to have 2 different certiifcates, one for internal access and one for external access?
I would recommend you raise a support ticket.
