I am trying to import a single contact into my trial version of Dynamics 365 CRM. Message says: "your data has been submitted for import" contact information however never shows up. What am I missing?
Check status of your import in Settings -> Data Management -> Imports - there should be an answer.
Thank you for your response, really appreciated! It appears that the option "data management" does not show under "settings". Unless I am looking at the wrong place, all that shows under "settings" is: "Personalization Settings", "Advanced Settings", "Toast Noficitation Display...", "About", "Privacy & Cookies", "Software license terms". That's it. Do you think this has anything to do with the fact that I am using a trial version?
What you're talking about is "Personal Settings". Click "Advanced Settings" and it will navigate you to "Settings" area. There you should have "Settings" -> "Data Management" -> "Imports".

I was able to navigate to the right place after all. I downloaded the contact import template and was able to import a couple of contacts however it only seems to work when filling in the first name and last name fields. As soon as I start populating fields such as company name, State, City etc, using the same template I downloaded, import fails and error code -2,147,220,653 is displayed.
There should be a description of the error that should answer you why import fails. Happy troubleshooting!
Export list of failed records and check why they have failed.
