I have a Custom Entity and i am going to create a date field as Flow up Date.
When a user Sets the Date value in the Field, i have to trigger a mail on that date with some details in the Form to the an user, to his outlook mail.
How this can be done. Please help me with this.
I am using Dynamics 365 sales app 2019 Online Version2.
Wait condition is your answer if I get your ask correctly. This will help you do it as this question was asked before
I tried with wait condition, but how to set a condition for date. If user sets up a specific date when he want to get the alert. How to set that in wait condition dynamical on date value ???
If you would like to send email on specific date,
please take threads below in Flow forum as reference and check whether they could help.
I achieved this by following these steps:
First, I created the field triggering the workflow on the opportunity (custom entity in your case) and added it to the form.
Afterwards, I created and configured the workflow as illustrated :
A background workflow, executed after changing the date field. Once triggered, it must wait until the date mentioned by the user is reached.
To guarantee this, all we have to do is add a waiting condition
and then do whatever action you want to do, which is to send an email in your case
I hope I have answered your question.
Thank you .
