I have created a roll-up field to count the value of sub-grid record. But the roll-up filter it not getting refreshed. if i check in the job it says as waiting for timer.
Because of this the rollup field value is not updating with the proper count.
please help me with this .
I am using Microsoft Dynamics 365 2019 online version 2
Roll-up fields update once in 24 hours. If you want to see the latest value specific to a field, you can click on refresh icon in the field. It will update the value specific to the field.
I have more records to get updated with roll-up calculated value, is there a way i can do some run somewhere say in the system jobs that recalculate all the values??
I am afraid the control on roll up field is not with the user. System automatically updates all roll-up fields every 24 hours.
There are no on-demand run functionality available for multiple records.
On-demand run is for single roll-up field at a time.
We can set Calculate Rollup Field job to run every hour.
You can monitor Mass Calculate Rollup Field and Calculate Rollup Field under Systems jobs entity using “Recurring System Jobs” view as:
As mentioned above, Mass Calculate Rollup Field job is executed in 12 hours after Rollup field is created or updated. But in case you do not want to wait for 12 hours and have first instance of job to be started immediately, follow below steps:
Once Mass Calculate Rollup Field job is executed successfully, Calculate Rollup Field job will kick in and run every hour for any incremental changes on existing records.
The above information is from this blog:
In addition, please refer to this theme.
Yes, You can control roll up calculation from System jobs.
