I am new to Dynamics365 family and currently using Salesforce CRM. I have a question, if we purchase Dynamics365 for sales only, can we have automatic case creation for every email we receive? or do we have to purchase the Dynamics365 For Customer Service?
I see there's cases functionality in Dynamics365 for sales, is it the same as customer service?

I would suggest if you are looking for Call Center/Customer Service features. Go for D365 for Customer Service license.
You can do it only with Dynamics 365 for sales.
However, case management is a unique feature of Dynamics365 For Customer Service.
