I just signed up for trialIt seems I can not customize forms and/or create new entities. Is it true?
You can check the security role for the user who is editing the Forms/creating new entities
It would be of great help if you can let us know which trial you have signed up.
I have signed up to sales 365 trial
I guess security roles are pre defined
I do not know how to see/edit the security role or even if i have privileges to do
You can check the Admin roles in Portal.office.com and in CRM Organization as well
As an initial step, you can check in Portal.office.com -> Admin -> Users Check for the roles you have.
Check by giving global Admin, if you are able to edit the records and then you can switch it back to user in Same portal
IN CRM, You can check the role under settings -> Customization -> Customize my System -> Security -> Users ->
