Is there a way that I can create an Excel Template for use within an Opportunity? We have a particular form, for a particular supplier, which is an Excel workbook. All the data we need is now in the Opportunity in Dynamics, so it seems an obvious solution. However Dynamics wants me to use Word for the template.
Is there an *easy* way to do this (my mind is still reeling from PowerBI so go easy on me)?
Could you please check this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-professional/manage-excel-templates ?
Hope this will help to resolve your issue.
I don't think that helps. That just tells me how to set up Excel templates, not how (or even if) they can be used with Opportunities.
It seems that Excel templates are only used as templates for lists of data, rather than for individual entities, which only support Word.
