Do you want to add the activities in custom entity or Do you want make custom entity as an activity entity?
To add the activities in custom entity, you can follow the same in custom entity which is shared by Mehdi but if you are looking to make custom entity as an activity entity then you would need to check this option - "Define as an activity entity".
Please note this option is only available while creating an entity and once it's has been saved, option would be grayed out -
See the field "Call to", i want my custom entity (applicant)
"To" field is a party list and has the following OOB entities in the list: account, contact, lead, and user. Adding custom entities in the “To” field is not possible and not supported for activities other than email. We can have custom entities in the “To” field only for the Email activity.
