I have a solution in Dynamics 365 online (v9.1) and I need to import that into an on-premise Dynamics 2016 (v8.2). Is there any way to make a solution compatible with an older version of Dynamics? I understand if the plugins are using newer libraries, etc which means we need to recompile them BUT for example just to move the custom entities easily?
If you have any recommendation or idea that would be appropriated.
Unfortunately, this is not a supported scenario to import a v9 solution back to v8.2. While you might be able to make changes to the underlying XML (such as solutions and customizations) to get this to work, we do not have a supported way of doing this.
Thanks Efrain. I'm going to dig more deeply then to see if I can make this work playing with the XML.
