I want to on the Account form, show the related values of Opportunities, in the following, YTD this year, YTD last year, YTD current month and last year. YTD=Year-to-date.
In what way could we solve that? Should we create a plugin on the fields, since i don't think the roll-up can fix this? Any other suggestions, let's say that they want the same fields but for many other entities let's for e.g invoice, orders an so on.. Then there will be a lot of fields and a lot of plugins which maybe's not a good solution. Is it possible to do it in another smoother way? maybe Power BI report, just curious how would you solve it?
Could you provide an example and an illustration?
Thanks for your reply,
So let's say on the Account Form, i want to have two fields, called Opportunity Total Amount This Year (YTD), and Opportunity Total Amount Last Year (YTD). So i want when users look at the fields, they get the total amount values of the Accounts Opportunitinies, Last and This year (Year-To Date), so if they view the fields at 21st may, it should show all the Opportunities Total Amount from 1st January to todays date (21st may). So my question is these fields, how do i get the values in the format i want, YTD? See above post.
You can do something like this, using a flow. I have written a blog post on how to achieve similar functionality. If you can follow the directions in the blog post, you should be able to achieve it.
You can read the blog post from here. Note: Donot worry about the filtering it for the last year as you need it for YTD.
Please let me know if you need assistance on this. I am always happy to help the community members.
