When I track an email to a contact in Outlook it links the email to all contacts and accounts my email address is related to. In our Dynamics environment I have some personal accounts which have my email address but these accounts and contacts don't relate to the tracking activity.
All these records (accounts & contacts) having same primary email id?
If yes, this is default behavior, you cannot change it.
Why do you have duplicate records (accounts and contacts with same email)? I guess you may look into this direction and use duplicate rules to avoid duplicate records.
(if it answers your query, mark it verified)
The reason my email address is primary is because there are accounts which I have in different business units with my work email. I can change the email address to my personal therefore it won't pick up the accounts.
