If you all recall, there is a field named 'Description' that is in the pop-up window we get when we select 'Close as Lost' in Opportunities.
I'd like to add this field to one of my Opportunity system views, so we see the reasons why an Opportunity was lost.
I tried to add a field named 'Description' in the Opportunity entity, but that's where we type in the summary of each Opportunity.
Which entity is this other 'Description' field in?
On "Close as Lost" click, it stores the below details in the "Opportunity Close" Activity Entity (a different entity, not Opportunity entity).
You cant be able to find this Activity Entity in advance find also.
If you want a description of this Activity Entity "Opportunity Close" in the opportunity record, then what you can do is:
Create PowerAutomate, trigger it on create of "Opportunity Close" Activity Entity, and as a second step, update Opportunity description field with the value of discription of Activity Entity "Opportunity Close".
So in this way, whatever value you set in Activity Entity "Opportunity Close", while "Close as Lost" operation, you will have same value in Opportunity description.!Ref - https://youtu.be/A8lAdb1vfRk?t=606
Simply add Activity Entity "Opportunity Close" in your sitemap, to see list close oppty with the description.
Yes, the solution is just Piyush said.
Here I provide some screenshots of a flow, which you can create flow directly from it.
First of all, create a Multiline Text field for Opportunity entity, this field will store the value of 'Description' in Opportunity Close entity.
Then create two flows. One is instant flow, the other is automated flow.
First create an automated flow.
This flow works on newly closed Opportunity after the flow is created.
For the existing Opportunities, we need to run a flow manually to update them. So create the second flow.
