Outlook contact and dynamics 365 contact sync worked very well but as of last week,
Anytime an outlook contact is modified, the changes are not synced to dynamics 365 contact.
I get this error:
The error is about duplicate detection. All contacts are created on dynamics 365 and synced to outlook.
From your screenshot, it showed following symptom:
"One or more duplicate records were found in Microsoft Dynamics 365 when saving item "<Contact Name>" from Exchange to Microsoft Dynamics 365. Do you want to continue and create a duplicate record anyway?
Email Server Error Code: ExchangeSyncDuplicateRecordsError"
This will occur if duplicate detection is enabled in Dynamics 365 and the contact you tracked in Outlook matches an existing record in Dynamics 365.

I have turned off one of the duplicate detection rules and it worked perfectly.
I have also seen the resolution but I don't feel it is practical. I cannot manually respond to each duplicate error.
The issue that worries me is that all duplicate detection rules were turned on/published in the past and the sync between outlook contact and dynamics contact worked without issue.
The inconsistency in the configuration changes worries me.
