Before enabling the opportunity close form, when the dialogs opens, the functionality is like when we click on 'Close As Lost' button it closes all the open childs and parent with status reason of lost.
After enabling the opportunity close form, it opens with quick create form and if we click on 'Close As Lost' button it only closes parent. The child remained open.
Does anyone know how to work this functionality with opportunity close quick create form.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe you can try to create a flow to close related child records automatically when you close the opportunity.
Hi Leah Ju,
Thank you for response.
I am trying with flow to change status of all the open child opportunities to lost whenever parent opportunity is closed. But it is now working. The flow failed with the below error:
"This message can not be used to set the state of opportunity to lost. In order to set state of opportunity to lost, use the lost message instead".
I am doing below steps in flow:
1) Added trigger on opportunity if parent opportunity status is lost.
2) Fetched all child opportunities using 'List rows' action of Microsoft Dataverse connector
3) Update child opportunity status to lost using 'Update a row' action of Microsoft Dataverse
Please let me know this is the right way to do using flow or not. If not then how to do that.
The trick that we had was that instead of updating the child Opportunity status to lost directly, we had to add 'Add a new row' action to create an Opportunity Close Activity and set the Status as Lost.
This was the last step in our workflow and we now have it updating successfully.

Yes, I added this step and it's working now. Using flow I could achieve our functionality.
Thank you for all your help!
