My Goals look like this
Look at the three fields. Target, Actual, Shortfall/Overage.
We have twelve goals for each month. For each month, we have a target that we want to achieve. Actuals is what we have achieved. Shortfall / Overage is clear. When the month ends, we close the goal, but when we have a deficit in the shortfall / overage field, this deficit figure must be added to the target in the following month.
I have no idea how to do it, maybe you will help me.
You can try this:
Add two fields: one field is used to display the year and month of current record(like 2021.03), another is a tag(Yes/No, default value is No) to check whether this record has added shortfall / overage when it’s deficit.
Then you can create a on load event on this form. In the JS, get current record’s tag, target and year_month. When the value of tag is No, send web request to get the value of previous month’s shortfall / overage. When it is deficit， add the value and current record’s target to set the value of current record’s target. Finally, set the tag to Yes.
Thank you for your answer, it makes sense.
But I have one question, how I can send a request to get data from the previous month?
