when i try and create a project line, it gives me this error
the log details are as below:

This is a very generic error thrown when an application is trying to work with a reference that doesn't point to any object. There is no universal solution - you must find the cause in your particular case and fix it.

Thanks for your response, the link to the post semi fulfils my request, as im not a coder it mentions to debug the reference pointer exception.
I understand that its looking for a reference/pointer that is null (or not there) hence its throwing the error.
I need to understand the troubleshooting path/steps, where I would initially look, what the typical things that would break with this kind of error etc.
Something like this:
"Use the debugger to find out the place where the error is thrown." but without using the debugger where would the initial point of investigation be, and then following that, where would I search
unless its way too generic to point out, as it could be anything? without having context of the solution?
I can read the log file and understand its a reference error but the troubleshooting path to resolution is what I am wanting to know.
