I am relatively new to Dynamics CE. I am trying to achieve a request from our Sales Director.
We have a custom "Status" field on Lead entity called "Status Reason". This is a drop down list, one of the values is "In progress".
We want to ensure that a consultant can only update this field to in progress if a phone call activity is logged. If no phone call activity is logged, the user must not be able to update to this value and save.
I did try a business rule but could see this is not possible. Is there any other way to achieve this without any code knowledge?

I haven't found any way to do this without code. If you don't mind using code, I could provide JS for you.
