I am working with appointments, and I would like to be able to set the status reason within appointments that I users need to cancel, because of this I want to add a status reason field to the Close appointment pop-up
How can I achieve this?
Unfortunately, there is no OOB way to do this. This dialog unlike Opportunity close dialog, it can't be customized.
You could submit an idea here to progress this feature.
It took a lot of digging, but I manage to find a solution to this which also feels quite native. By following the really useful posts which you can access below, I was able to create a ribbon button that calls a custom native CRM pop-up, which includes the elements I need to save before the appointment is saved. I was also able to add an on-click event behind the close appointment button to trigger the close appointment functionality.
Really interesting indeed
