I have created a production order and have created the following setup. I have done this process in AX 2012 and it worked fine. I have done the exact setups in D365 and I get the following message. The work order creation history log for this production order is empty. I am unable to find the reason for this to not work. I have read through previous forum threads but did not help.
1. Location directives
A. Raw material Pick:
B. Raw Material Put
C. Finished Good Put Away:
2. Work Templates:
A. Raw Material Picking:
B. Finished Good Put:
3. Wave template for Production
4. Mobile Device Menu items
B. Finished Good Put Away:
WORK CREATION HISTORY LOG:
Please help as early as possible.
was the materials physically reserved before running the process?
If not try reserving inventory first and then try
Thank you for the suggestion. The material is surely reserved. If it was not, a different message would come and wave would not be created.
could you share work creation history log?
I have already posted the screen shots for work template and work creation log form in my post.
Where is the inventory located? Is it already on the production input location? If not, do you have work policies setup that prevent work creation?
If it was already on the production input location, it wouldn't have shown an error. It would have simply skipped this BOM line then.
The inventory is located at the staging location. Since the work is not getting created, there is no pick process done yet.
I did not understand your point. Please elaborate.
Thank you a lot for all the suggestions. The problem is resolved by itself. I tried the same production process for a new finished good and its BOM items. There are no changes to the product setups and production control setups. We found no gap in anything that should have not created work for the previous production orders.
Hence, the problem is resolved.
