I have a query here.
Is it possible for a manager to add a variable compensation award to his/her employee under ESS > My Teams. We can view the fixed and variable compensation plans but wanted to check if we can enable managers to add variable compensation awards only (not Fixed comp). I tried with security role but that doesnt helping me here. Any other suggestions are welcome.
no, it's not possible. you will be able to do with an embedded PowerApps applications, but only after Microsoft makes these entities available again in CDS.
I did not try it yet, but I would investigate if I can do it with some changes in the security role, for the manager. But be careful with the changes done there

Thanks Nicu..I have tried updating security roles and see if this can be done..but no luck. Plz try from your side too and lemme know on this :)
