20 Apr 2017 2:45 PM It’s hard to believe that Dynamics 365 for Operations has been running for just over a year now and we are seeing fantastic adoption with more and more go-lives each week. Many of our customers have expressed an interest in support for those industry certifications that help support the needs of their business. In addition to the ones we already have that you can find listed here, I am happy to report that on March 31, 2017 we received our SOC 1 Type 1 certification which is the first of five major certifications that are being targeted for Calendar Year 2017. Customer’s authorized representatives who are not already onboarded can do so here to download the Dynamics 365 - For Operations – SOC 1 SSAE 16 Type 1 Report from the Service Trust Platform (STP). Security, privacy, trust and compliance are the core components that Microsoft designs for and operates our cloud services and Dynamics 365 for Operations is run with those same guiding principles. Achieving and maintaining industry certifications for data privacy and control shows our customers that they can trust us to protect and secure their data while they are running their business with Dynamics 365 for Operations. To help organizations comply with national, regional, and industry-specific requirements governing the collection and use of individuals’ data, our R&D teams have been working diligently to harden our controls and operate our cloud service according to the guidelines of global standards such as ISO and SOC and that work is starting to be recognized by receiving our SOC 1 Type 1 certification. Public Certification Roadmap To address customers’ questions about what our plans are for additional certifications we have just released a public certification roadmap which provides more details about the specific PA-DSS, ISO and SOC certifications we are targeting in Calendar year 2017 as well as the European Union Model Clauses in Q1 Calendar Year 18. We are excited about receiving our SOC 1 Type 1 certification as well as the release of the public certification roadmap and look forward to sharing more details as they become available.
