Hi All,

We are working on

Installed product version : Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (8.0)

Installed platform version : Update15 (7.0.4841.35234)

As per new VM configuration, admin rights has not been granted to dev VMs.

I am trying to attached batch.exe to debug one batch issue. However on attachment getting error , that Visual studio has to open in "Admin Mode".

any feedback?

Hello Neetu,

Have you tried right clicking Microsoft Visual Studio and selecting run as Administrator?

VS needs to be in elevated mode to attach to other process. Just click "Restart under different credentials" and provide admin credential to go ahead.

Thanks for reply Boris.

Yes i have tried but it asked for admin accout and password. And those credentials are not shared in lcs as from my working version of dev vm all admin access has been revoked .

Hi Ada,

from update 12, Dev VM does not have any admin rights

blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../restricted-admin-access-with-platform-12-updates

Hence there is no provision to start in "Admin mode"

Hello Neetu,

You might want to conceder a local dev VM or a dev VM in your Azure subscription. You can keep your admin rights on these VMs.

These VMs will be controlled by your own IT department.
