While defining the WBS AX is asking for the Category and in the category drop down only hour type transaction categories are visible, not showing all the categories.
Can anyone suggest me why it is like that in R2 as in the Feature Pack there is no such defining of the category is mandatory.
Please advise me and it will be appreciated if can explain me why Microsoft did like this in R2.
The activity category on the WBS is used to automatically generate the estimate line (including pricing and line property). Additional transaction types can be specified in the property tabs at the bottom of the form. You can use these estimates to populate forecasts and budgets. If you don't want to specify it, you can define a generic labor category and specify it as the default in the project parameters form.
Thanks for your input, "define a generic labor category and specify it as the default in the project parameters form."
Where is Project Parameters Form." Is it same as Project Tab> General that contains sub-topics such as General, Project team and Scheduling, set-up, Project hierarchy,?
If you don't mind could you please provide some more guidance?
Thanks for your time
