hi, I dont have Document handling button enabled on my Employee form. I have referred some blogs and checked but it didnt work.
In active document tables form , i have selected emplTable also but not worked.
Anyone pls help me out.
You're saying that on the Employees list page the 'Attachments' button is grayed out (not enabled)? Or it's enabled and you can click it, but nothing happens.
Is document handling enabled for the user in User options under fast tab "Miscellaneous"?
The Document handling button on the tool bar has been disabled(grayed out).
i want that to be enabled to attach the documents.
yes i have checked this....
one simple question: Is this button always greyed out? or only in this form on that record?
maybe there is an overriden method docCursor on the formRun? which returns null
this button has been grayed out on most of the forms we have and not for a particular record.
Couple more things to check in Organization administration/Document Management:
1) in Document management parameters that you have setup an "Archive directory"
2) in Document management parameters that you have unchecked the "Use Active document tables"
3) in Document Types that you have at least one document type defined.
I would say #3 is quite important.
1. I have setup archive directory path
2.I have checked the Use active documents tables
and there are many document types defined
And below is the code i have on Empl form methods:
sysDictMenu = SysDictMenu::newMenuItem(menuItemDisplayStr(EmplTableDetails), MenuItemType::Display);
if (sysDictMenu.rights() < AccessType::Edit || curExt() == SARDEvGeneralParameters::find().MainCompany)
If this is only for a particular user, Please check the permissions under the security.
If it is for all the users,Check your license and run a full CIL. This will help solve the issue
its not for a particular user, even i have admin rights its disabled for me also.
how to run CIL pls let me know..
Before you run the CIL, stop all the AOS and take a backup
on the AOT, you will find "Generate full CIL" button, click on this and it takes a few hours to complete the CIL.
You will need down time of atleast 4-5 hours to perform this task.
in most of the cases, this will solve the issue. if this does not resolve let us check.
