My first post! hi!
I am coming at AX from a business intelligence angle, so this question is in regards to the AX4 database. I am effectively trying to include an AX item creation date. The purpose of my report is to create a list of items that have been created over the last 7 days. We don't have a creation date on the inventtable. I have tried use the price dates on inventtablemodule, though some items do not have a price date associated with them.
Is there something simple that I am missing here?
The property CreatedDateTime should be set to Yes on the table InventTable in AX itself. This will make sure that the field is active and will be filled upon creation.
Thanks for such a quick response. It looks like this has not been enabled, there isn't a single date field on the inventtable table. Any suggestions for associated tables/dates that could be used as a work around? Otherwise I'll need to set up a table to detect changes which isn't ideal from a maintenance point of view.
Simply set the property to Yes in AX.
Our AX guy says that this is impossible once the system is live...
That's not true, adjust it in your DEV environment and deliver it to the production environment. It couldn't be any simpler.
