Hi All ,
In Ax we have many documents /Journals which can be posted automatically through batch jobs , in this case system which security role will be used to post it automatically in Ax 2012 ?
How to identify that from end user point of view that which role will be used to post the transactions through batch job ?
which security role will be used to post it automatically in Ax 2012 ?
Any reply from pioneers ?
I assume this is a general question related to the batch framework and not related to specific jobs. When a user can e.g. start a periodic option like posting journals, he can also select the option to run this task in batch. A batch job and task is then created with the user ID of this user. The batch framework will execute the job as this user. So it will use the security role of this user.
It is recommended to have critical periodic jobs to be setup as the admin user. Then it is always running. When a user leaves the company and his rights are revoked, the batch will fail because of missing privileges.
I understand what you say that
We are facing a problem where a batch job has stopped running as the user who created the batch job left the company and not valid anymore. Is there a way where we can get the batch job back to running.
You can or recreate the batch job or you can do some direct SQL manipulation on the batch and batchjob tables to change the user (total 3 fields) and the batch status to waiting.
