I am trying to get the substitute items working in a formula, but I cannot get the alternate item to be used in the planned production order formula.
Result, original item is still in formula on planned production order.
Anyone know what step I have missed here?
Hi Steve I don't have access to AX 2009 Process manufacturing - but I followed your steps in AX 2012 and got the same problem - but then I re-ran master planning for all items and the substitute items were then calculated correctly - so I think it's your Step 4 that's wrong - you have to run a full regenerative master plan (or more likely just re-plan the lower level items). I think I can feel a blog post coming on .....
Can you try a full master planning run and see if that fixes the problem?
Thanks Tim, that worked a treat!
