First of all, I have to say my environment is not a cloud environment, all my code is stored in my local VM. I have a problem as blow, I cannot add an Odata url in the service reference in AX 7 VM. I tried my login company email account and password in AX 7 VM but no luck. As is not a cloud environment, I have to say get Can anyone give suggestion? Thank you very very much!
The AX7 login account for me is the dynamics AX admin USER provisioning account
By your "login email account", do you mean your Azure Active Directory account, which has administrator permissions in Dynamics AX?
As my environment is the a VM, the only AX7 login account for me is the dynamics AX admin USER provisioning account which I need to register an email. I also add the screen on my post now.
Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem.
As far as I know, you need an AAD account. Furthermore, you need permissions in your AAD configuration to create an application there, and use the generated application ID when sending web requests.
I have not figured it out but I found that Odata cannot consume directly in Visual Studio. I think Martin provides the correct direction.
This the good Odata sample for AX7
