I have a requirements from one of our customers to allow certain users to refresh data using the excel add in and to publish data using excel add in. As far as I understand users can refresh data but only SYSADMIN can publish data.
Is there a way that I can allow users to publish data using the excel add in without the user having SYSADMIN access rights?
You are correct in your understating.
There are ways to break this security but I would not recommend you to do that, unless there is a solid reason which makes you avoid using DIXF as user.
