I would appreciate information about how to work with icons and images in axapta menus, etc. I know you can specify a resource code for a menuitem but I want to add my own images to main menus and deploy it to ax clients in an eficient way and I have no idea about that.
Any information would be helpfull.
In stead of using a resource number, you can use your own image files. In stead of using the proprty 'normalresouce'use the property 'normalimage'. Put the files in the direcories "..\Share\Include" which can be found in the client directory structure on disk as well the application directory structure.
Be sure all clients have the additional files included in the directory. For distributing the file you can look at the class "sysfiledeployment" which can copy files when you have a new version of AX installed or a new client which connects for the first time. Otherwise use a setup-tool for creating an msi file (e.g. inno setup).
I will try it! Thanks!
