Greetings Expert, straight to the problem.
I want to ask about credit note lines in create invoice proposal form.based on the discussion in this link (https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/233143), we can make multiple credit notes in a project that has many subprojects (the invoices is located at the subprojects), and I have an issue related to this. Here's the explanation.
Current Situation :I have a project that contains multiple subprojects, and each subproject contains multiple invoices that have been posted.
The Goal :I want to create credit notes for all the invoice that has been posted.
What I Have Done :I already select all invoice lines I want to create the credit note in Invoice journals in the project list page. then select functions > select for credit note
The Issue :the issue comes when I want to post the invoice in the Invoice Proposal Form. The lines that supposed to be there isn't listed. because of this, I can't post the credit note in the invoice proposal form.
What I Have Done To Fix It:I already debug the code behind the form that lists the credit note invoices in Journal Proposal form, and I'm getting myself confused when mapping so many tables and classes.
that explains my current issue. Is there anything I can try to solve this issue?
Any answer will be appreciated.
Best Regards,Chaidir Ali
please help, I'm confused
Hello Chaidir Ali,
Have you already tried the date filters in the invoice proposal form?
Many times they prevent you from seeing the lines you want to invoice or credit.
In addition, have you double checked the line property to ensure that your elements have a chargeable line property selected?
Can you share details of your posted credit note lines?
Thank you for your answer. here are my replies
Have you already tried the date filters in the invoice proposal form?Yes, I have tried those filters, and it didn't work.
In addition, have you double checked the line property to ensure that your elements have a chargeable line property selected?I have checked the line property and the elements have the chargeable property checked.
Can you share details of your posted credit note lines? No, my goal is to post the credit note inside the invoice proposal form. currently, I don't have any posted credit note lines.
And again, many thanks for responding to my question.
Best Regards,Chaidir Ali
You run a time and material project, right?
Do you have billing rules configured at the project contract level?
What you can check in addition is whether some project contract settings prevent you from creating the credit note.
Depending on your system version it might also be a bug that causes this behavior.
So please also check LCS.
If you quickly need to create a credit note and can't wait, post a fee journal with negative amounts and then create an invoice proposal. This should work in any case.
Here are my replies.
You run a time and material project, right?Yes, I am.
Do you have billing rules configured at the project contract level? No, I have checked and confirmed that there are no billing rules configured at the project contract level.
I must discuss it with my team before and see whether we should do this or not.
Many thanks for responding to my question.
