Could anyone please tell me Is there any way to change the opening balance currency from KWD to USD as the client trnasferred the opening balance in KWD .Now they want in USD.
Thanks in advance
What is your accounting currency and how were the opening balance transactions transferred?
Are only ledger balances involved or also customer/vendor opening balances?
How long ago was it- have there been transactions, period close etc?
Sub ledgers for opening and subsequent transactions will be the challenge.
If no transactions, then you can clean up/load again.
Our accounting currency is kwd only.and all are ledger balances only
Good Morning subashini,
Thank you for this clarification.
If all amounts have been recorded in KWD then you cannot easily get the USD values.
Making use of the secondary currency would be an option but it depends on whether a secondary currency has been setup or not because this cannot easily be done subsequently.
Another option would be using Management Reporter for listing the KWD values and then adding some calculation columns where you do the conversion to USD.
The same can of course be done in Excel or an external BI tool.
In summary, I do not see an easy and straightforward way to get the USD values except by the workarounds mentioned.
Thank you ludwig.
it helped me alot.
As usual in this forum, once your question has been answered, please be so kind and verify the answers.
Many thanks and best regards,
