Need urgent help on below issue,
I have created a Customized SSRS report in AX2012 and have created one output menu item to run the report.
I have placed the above menu item in Area Page of Account Receivable.
Now depending upon the logged in User I have to check one condition (e.g User Type) in my Customized table and for particular condition (User Type) only I have to display this Menu Item.
How this can be achieved?
Thank you in advance.
That's not possible and that's not how to do it. You show menu items by assigning security roles (which contain duties and privileges) to your users.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
The reason why I want to achieve the above requirement is, I don't want to keep the dependency on System Administrator to assign the role. My customized table contains 2 fields as User Id & User Type.
Can we assign the role conditionally?
I meant if I assign the role to every user then by any chance can I write the logic as I can check the User Type in my customized table for that User and then that Role will be assigned to that User.
You could develop a batch job that assigns/removes a role from users, based on your custom table.
You can check the standard Automatic role assignment for inspiration.
Thank you Nikolaos for helping out.
