we are using dynamics ax 2009, we found an issue that there is no general accounts in chart of accounts as shown in below image.
I need a help to copy chart of accounts from one company to this company.
Is there any mechanism or technique to copy accounts directly to another company?
Can you make sure you are not in dat company. Check for other companies and you should see chart of accounts there.
Yes, other companies have that charts of accounts but this is recently created on missing those.
So, I want to create a copy of accounts from that existing one.
In AX2009, you can go to the data import/export groups. Create one for the LedgerTable. Then export a file from one company and import it into this one.
Also check if you are using virtual companies for other legal entities and if the chart of accounts is part of this. In that case, probably the current company can be added to the list of virtual companies to have the chart of accounts also shared for this one.

I would go along with the data import/export groups that Andre suggested.
That is probably the fastest and easiest way how to achieve this.
