I'd like to know what exactly the "Maximum number of inactive connections" parameter does and if there are any recommendations if there are tens of thousands of inactive sessions. Can a significant number of inactive sessions have any impact on server memory utilization and performance?
The parameter can be found on AX Server Configuration Utility > Database Tuning tab
I'm not sure the recommendations. Actually, It's maybe impact on performance but there are not exact cost can be consumed.
Btw, if you worry about the max session counts which can connect to system, you don't have to worry about it.
In AX2009, as far as I remember the only user session(concurrent session) can be checked by system. The other session like workers, business connector is not checked and it's trust based license.
