Hi ax professionals,
On this weekend, I've been assigned to update hotfix on this client that was noticed its kernel version is newer then other environments exists.
But just after the update, this client cannot be open whatever I clicked.
Task manager shows that the client application has been opened but immediately shut down .
And the DB can be accessed by client application of other environment.
What may cause this and how can I do further?
Can one of your colleagues access the machine or do they see the same issue?
“As usual with hotfixes, please evaluate them in a testing environment first. Also verify you have a tested working backup of your customer’s systems before applying any hotfix. Moreover, every AX component (AOS, AX clients, .NET BC, etc.) installed to any machine would have to be upgraded to the same kernel and application build levels to be at a supported level and most importantly to avoid any strange side effects when using different build versions between AX components.
I would suggest you to check the events logs to see if there are any errors as it looks like the client is crashing after the applying the kernel hotfix.
