Our Client has the AX2009, the AOS Service is stopped and when I try to start it I receive the error bellow in event viewer :
and when I try to open the AX SERVER CONFIG I receive this error :
this is the event viewer message :
any help would be appreciated.
Can you give us some context, please? Is it a new installation or does it work before? If it worked before, what has changed?
I don't understand French (therefore I don't know what the error messages say), but the first thing I would check is whether the AOS service account has permissions to log into the database.
it worked before, and I don't Know what the client change on it.
I can translate the error messages for you :
the error when trying to start the AOS : Server 01: SQL diagnostics: [Microsoft][SQL Native Client]SQL Network Interfaces: the main target name is not correct
and the error when trying to open the ax server config : error occurred while trying to retrieve the list of databases from the server .....
I checked the AOS service account and I found that it has the permession to log into the database :
and I want to clarify that the AOS instance and the database are not installed on the same server
Is the SQL Server service running?
Are you able to connect to it from SSMS on the machine with AOS?
the SQL server service is running
the SSMS is not installed on the machine with AOS, it's installed on the database server side and I can connect to database from SSMS
It sounds like you have a network issue when trying to connect from the AOS server to the database server.
Of course, there can't be any network issue when you connect to the database locally and not over network. Therefore running SSMS locally doesn't tell you much.
