Hello everyone!  I wanted to drop by and let you know how things are progressing in the world of content development for Convergence 2011. We have made a lot of progress over the last few days and I can report that we are roughly at 72% complete as of today (February 9).  That includes all concurrent sessions, interactive discussions, deep dive sessions and general sessions. We've refined the number of tracks that we use to focus our topics around this year, which hopefully will make it easier for you to identify the sessions that most interest you.  This year's tracks include:

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Microsoft Dynamics SL
  • Microsoft Office/Sharepoint/Outlook
  • Business Leadership
  • Potpourri

Any business intelligence sessions or server and tools sessions have been rolled into the specific product tracks. We have representation from all tracks posted on the Session Catalog right now; the tracks that will get pumped up in the next week will be the AX track and the Business Leadership track.

Our track owners have worked very hard over the last 8 - 10 weeks to deliver the sessions that you're asking for, and that provide the most value to you. It's been a long road, but is one that's very important to us.

You can also keep an eye out for details on our two sessions of Birds of a Feather.  Birds of a Feather, which are new to us at Convergence, is time and space set aside for informal networking with other like-minded folks. There's no presentation, no microphones - just tables, chairs and people who want to learn and share. We have those sessions (Tuesday, April 12 at 4:30pm and 6:15pm) posted in the Session Catalog right now so that you can set that time aside in your calendar. We'll have the specific table topics posted to those entries within the next few weeks so you can see which groups you might like to join. If Birds of a Feather is a big hit this year, we'll expand it--'fluff it out'-for future events.
