For WPC 2015, I’d like to share some licensing and pricing updates for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. We are extending our Sales Productivity promotional pricing, doubling down on a combined solution approach with Office 365, offering new purchasing options through our partner community, and new deployment options with Microsoft Azure.

Dynamics CRM Online Promotions Extended

Dynamics CRM Online continues its pace of remarkable growth and this success is due in part to the positive feedback we received for our Sales Productivity solution and its promotional pricing. Sales Productivity showcases the combined capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Professional, Office 365 (Plan E3) and Microsoft PowerBI for mobile sales teams. IT departments have shared with us their love for deploying all of their SaaS solutions on a single platform with a rapid time to value, and users love the deep integration of Office, Dynamics CRM Online and PowerBI.

Based on this positive feedback and great momentum in the market, we are renewing our Sales Productivity promotional pricing through the end of September 2015. For Web Direct customers, Dynamics CRM Online Professional, Office 365 Plan E3 and PowerBI can be purchased together for $65USD per user, per month, and existing Office 365 Plan E3 and E4 customers can add CRM Online Professional and PowerBI for only $45/user/month. 

In addition to Sales Productivity, we have also extended the Connect with Customers promotion in Open License and Connected Cloud promotion for Government Community Cloud, also through the end of September 2015.

We have also extended the Customer Engagement 360 promotion, which provides a 25% discount off of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Enterprise, through the end of December 2015. This promotion provides great pricing to customers who wish to combine the capabilities of Dynamics CRM Online with the customer service capabilities of Parature, from Microsoft, the social media engagement capabilities of Microsoft Social Engagement Enterprise, or marketing automation capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing.

So what happens after the Sales Productivity promotion ends in September?

The success of Sales Productivity this past year has convinced us that offering great pricing to customers who want to buy Dynamics CRM Online and Office 365 is something we want to continue on a more permanent basis.  With this week’s news that Office will introduce a new offering (Plan E5) later this year, we will also evolve our Sales Productivity promotional offering into a new programmatic offering that provides a discount on CRM Online Professional for Office 365 customers. This new offering will be available in all of the licensing programs through which we sell Dynamics CRM Online, including EA, MPSA, Web Direct, Open and the new CSP program. We’ll provide pricing specifics and more details in the coming months in anticipation of an autumn launch.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online joins the CSP program

At WPC this year we’re delighted to join Office 365, Azure, and Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) in the Cloud Solution Provider program, which allows partners to sell Microsoft cloud services as part of a their own unified solution of offerings and services. For both partners and their customers, the benefit is a single point of contact through the partner for sales, provisioning, management, support and billing.

Dynamics CRM Online will offer our Essential, Basic and Professional licenses initially in CSP. Since partners set their own pricing in the program as part of their unified solution, we are not posting any pricing. Microsoft partners attending WPC can attend one of our sessions on CSP, or find more detail online.

Dynamics CRM 2015 Server is now certified for Azure

While most customers will find that Dynamics CRM Online provides lower total costs and faster time to value compared to other deployment options, deploying Dynamics CRM servers on Azure virtual machines offers a good compromise between the flexibility of an on-premises deployment and the low capital expense of deploying in the Cloud. This WPC we’re announcing that CRM is now certified for deployment on Azure and we’re providing tools through Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) that enable easy, high availability deployments. Dynamics CRM Server deployment in Azure is governed by the License Mobility Software Assurance benefit, and requires both Dynamics CRM 2015 Server licenses and either client access licenses or qualifying Dynamics CRM Online Licenses. Both License Mobility for Software Assurance and Dual Use Rights are addressed in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM On-Premises Pricing and Licensing Guide.
